(Aug. 29-2008) Submitting a Recall Petition to the San Jose Council Member Madison Nguyen THE LIAR.
(SJ Mercury News)Critics of embattled San Jose City Councilwoman Madison Nguyen submitted more than 5,000 signatures Friday to recall her from office.
The 5,181 signatures were far more than the 3,162 needed to trigger a recall election. The total included 366 signatures that needed double-checking. The city clerk also received 147 requests to withdraw recall signatures.
"The people have spoken," said recall leader Paul Le, who was among more than a dozen Vietnamese residents and reporters who watched for three hours while the city clerk checked each recall petition by hand.

Petitions mean nothing in the city of San Jose. We give too much power to city council people. As long as they are corrupt, things will not change. Madison and Pierluigi are the most corrupt clowns making decisions in our city. They break laws and they don't pay the consequences. They love wasting our tax dollars. All because they are on a power trip. They really don't care about the conmuntiy, they are just too cocky!
