My grandfather was a British soldier and was at the Falaise Gap. This man's words sound very similar to his.

How do I get this up?

"the german told us we had won (...) it was a very dark night that night" the irony. shall we never forget :) thank you Mr. Boutan for helping with my project!

you have to remember in ww2, the german faced UK,USA and RUSSIA.
the people who was still fighting in 44 and 45 was mostly reservs, very few was the veterans. in fact in cod1,2 and 3 its a joke because if it was a country overwhelmed in every battle, it was the germans, but in these games its the opposite.

May grandfather remember the canadian infantry in Bologna Italy
Officers are ranks such as lieutenants, captains, colonels, generals...infantry, aviation, navy, everything has officers. An officer is a specialised member who holds a position of authority. The SS was a special German corps considered separate from the infantry the navy or the aviation that acted as Hitler's personal bodyguard. A branch, the Waffen-SS were sent up to the front to fight and they are the ones this fella is talking about: they were tough bastards since they all were fervent nazis
