The National Lottery Big Ticket launched on 28/03/1998 and ran for 16 weeks, basically it was a gameshow (dubbed the most exciting TV show at the time) where the winner could win up to £100,000 but had no input in the outcome - that was down to a celebrity and a representative of a charity who had benefited from a lottery grant. To get onto the Big Ticket you had to buy a £2 scratchcard hoping to reveal 3 stars on it, however you could also win a cash prize by matching three identical amounts or lastly if you revealed three TV symbols four numbers would be printed on an additional panel of the scratchcard to which this portion of Big Ticket was relevant.
The rules for TV Home Play were simple enough - match the numbers in the order they were drawn to the numbers in the order they were printed on the scratchcard, the more numbers you matched the bigger the prize. The first number from a pool of 99 was removed after being drawn so there was only one chance to match all the numbers, but all sequences were valid until the closing date in January the next year meaning you could find a winning ticket weeks after the numbers had been drawn.
The TV Home Play segment was hosted by the glamourous computer-generated Bernie who was voiced by Kate Robbins, however due to a technical problem for all subsequent draws the animation was not added to the live picture but pre-recorded and a voiceover announcing the numbers was done.
At some point I will upload a full Big Ticket for you to judge if it was good or bad!

Extremely annoying.
If she hadn't have drawn attention to it, I don't think anyone would have payed much attention to the graphics problem.
Baffling game, terrible presentation (even when it worked), just horrible.
Not critisising the upload, I'm very grateful for that. Would love to see a full ep of Big Ticket, BTW. :-)
