What the gentleman with the beard is saying is absolutely WRONG...a Pit Bulls jaw does not lock...the Pit Bull's Jaw the same as other canines. Their bite force is the same as other similar sized breeds. One thing he has said is correct...the Pit Bull is a dog and he is muscled..the fact of the matter is that Pit Bulls are dogs...wonderful dogs.

@Perfidia25 yup, APBT's about 235 PSI, Amstaff/Staffie's aprox 320 PSI and relative of the wolf(like GSD's) can go over 555 PSI which is a third of the bite pressure of an Alligator. Annnnnd if i hear someone else ask me if my dogs Jaw "Lock", I'm going to lie and Say "Hell Yeah, so run and tell all your friends that own Pit Bulls I can sell them a special key for half price $189.99, and it will instaniously unlock the Jaws, but first I have to run their Credit". I have this dogs twin, and I kind of understand the message trying to be conveyed here. "be Responsible", It's the camera man that says obnoxious comments that's "typical Media". This Dog is NOT 110 lbs & is not a APBT he's Amstaff which is 1 of 4 bull terrier breeds. Staffies have 320+ lbs or of bite pressure, there are k9's like GSD's that can go over 555+ lbs PSI.
