I was a level 13 and i used just normal attacks for the king slime but only cos I needed the master stroke for the boss

is it just me or these monsters when the music change so i think those are bosses well they are just normal enemy's in dq8 so what's with that? i mean if i fight a very large thing like Rhapthorne i definetly would understand that that's a boss or one of the Dragovian Dragons but are these monsters bosses?
