Both Jones and Michalczewski are at fault for not fighting eachother. Both of them pointed the finger at the other guy and blamed eachother. Naturaly, Michalczewski would have wanted to fight in Germany and Jones in America. This superfight would have been complicated. Both of them are all time great light heavyweights. Michalczewski isn't as well known in America because he never fought there. Likewise, Jones is probably less popular in Germany and Poland.
Jones and Michalczewski = ATGs

If all Dariusz Michalczewski beat was bums, then the same thing is true of Roy Jones, because they fought all of the same people during their respective reigns at 175 pounds.
Regardless of that, Virgil Hill, who had successfully defended his belt 10 times before losing to DM, and who later won the world cruiserweight title twice, was most assuredly not a bum.

Dariusz Michalczewski was the ultimate boxing predator; he would take you apart piece by piece and then go in for the kill! A good technical fighter! I always wanted to see him against Henry Maske!

Not being funny, who did Michalczeski fight??? he made is living beating bums.
At that time Michalczewski was definitely best LHW in germany and along with Roy Jones in the world. But a year before he would have lost that fight. Michaelczewskis prime started in 1997 when he started to train with the german master couch Fritz Sdunek who improved him unbelievable. Bevore he trained with Sdunek he would have lost against Hill, Maske and in 1996 he was safed by a controversial decision against Rocchigiani. But from 1997 to 2003 he was a beast!
