Recovering from PTSD can be very difficult. In this clip paul touches on a few techniques he has found useful when coaching iraq war and other veterans. By being present, and reminding one's self that now is the only truth, one can help turn the tide of negative reflection/projection toward purpose and empowerment.

  • good video ....the affirmation that has helped me is "i am willing to let go "

  • Wow this information is very effective. i have ptsd and i immediately started to feel better just by watching and listening to the info and its nice to know that somebody out there who understands it and knows how to overcome it, it makes so much sense. Thank u so much for posting this.

  • very good.

  • thank you so much for this video, I cant express my graditude

  • WELL SAID MAN

  • Did you experience Vertigo and after time the Vertigo ceases to only having light headness? This is what happens to me when I recall my amnestic memories (I'm a dissociate who has PTSD). For me I need to dwell on my memories and once my Vertigo ceases I begin to behave like this video explains (NOW) and then the memories eventually become bygones meaning I no longer think about them.

  • what if a person fears the past catching up with them? is that still ptsd?

  • Just a hunch, but I think this gunny has provided oral therapies to lots of guys ;p

  • ... what a load of bs. I've lived in "NOW", and focused on making it through the day, not looking back. In fact, I didn't even have memories of my two years of psychological torture and sleep deprivation for four years. I am just starting to receive treatment for my severe PTSD, 14 years after it happened. Living in NOW didn't help me at all. Both my psychiatrist and my therapist are focused on going BACK to the incident, reliving it, to try and heal me. Living in "NOW" sure helped me a lot.
