@NCHiker1970 I made a bunch of these stoves for myself and my friends out of a 1 quart paint can and soup can. They seem to work as well as the Bushbuddy's and such, but don't last that long due to the soup can used. I use them on day hikes and even used it as the coffee water boiler on a four day camping trip this summer. With the Primus EtaExpress, it's such a nice compact effective 1 person kit.

These type of stoves are great. They fit perfectly inside the GSI Soloist pot or the Primus EtaExpress pot. The EtaExpress has a reactor attached and can boil 1L of water in just over 2 mins with a stove like this one.

@jntroisi I have always loved these kinds of stoves myself. I have not had a chance to use the Primus Eta pot but for experimental reasons I would love to try one. I did however use a Jet Boil mug and had a 2 min 39 sec boil time and other times which are about the same. Have you got a stove such as this and if so do you use it on hikes?

great stove
how much does it weigh?

Thanks, and it weighs 4.125 oz. sounds heavy but consider how much weight fuel adds to a pack. Plus fuel is free.... Bonus! LOL
