Close, but that's not the reason. The real reason as to why this show was canceled was because Nikki Cox was slowly, but surely becoming the biggest star on the show, and the sitcom had it's final season in 1999, because Nikki was going off to do her own show named after her.

I still love this show to this day. I wish it didn't get canceled. I want it on dvd soooo bad, so you are a god for posting this sitcom. This and married with children were the best sitcoms ever.
