Mega Man X5 Perfect Run- Mattrex/Finale

(Well, it's a good thing Youtube recently increased the video length time so I could manage to fit all of this into one video! Both the shuttle failing and succeeding!)

Hey everyone! Eae here once again to take on the final maverick of X5! This time we're getting all fired up and going after Mattrex!

Mattrex's stage can be a pretty hectic stage where we'll be keeping up our pace. In the first segment, keep up your speed to avoid the fire streams and enemy projectiles. When you come to the area with the lava, make sure you're well hidden in the alcoves to avoid getting touched or it's instant death! We also have to wait a bit to let it break through the rock. Avoid some last enemies and break through the door.

The second segment of the stage is split in two, one where you go underneath with the Ride Armor or one where we take on mini-boss. The mini-boss is known as Pteranoid and we have to cross some pretty crazy platform areas while avoiding his fireball attacks. There's also a couple bats in our way, so keep up pace while also stopping at areas to take them out. Keep pushing through till you can fight him at the two rising and falling platforms. He'll always follow the pattern of two fireballs then ramming, so use the hover ability to stay away from him. Hang onto the ropes and avoid some last minute bats to head on to Mattrex!

Mattrex's fight is pretty hectic. During his first phase, he'll jump around while stopping to either charge at your or send out fireballs. The fireballs will split into embers, so I find it best to avoid it by simply hanging on the walls. Do NOT let this big guy corner you. At 2/3's life, he'll start using another attack where he'll jump to the opposite side of the wall where you're at and either charge at you or send off a series of three to four fireballs. Avoid them by simply dashing around and going back and forth. At 1/3 of his life, things get much easier. Simply jump in the middle of the fourth small tooth and the first large tooth to avoid
the majority of his attacks!

I did not mention this at the end, but the shuttle succeeding is completely random. On my failed attempt, I beat every boss, while on my successful one I had yet to beat Mattrex. I showed off both endings so I hope you enjoy and hope you've enjoyed the Mega Man X5 Perfect Runs! There's quite a bit of extra material coming up this time, in the forms of collecting everything and of course the epic conclusion of Mega Man X5!

Merry Christmas to you! Nice job. The bad ending reminds me of the ending to the movie, "Impact." Very sad ending. I won't say what it is for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, but I love that movie.

@DanialD21 Merry Christmas to you as well! :) Indeed, the bad ending is quite sad but it's also definitely one, if not the most, of the most epic moments of the X series.
