Spike III intro

Arsène Spike III, the grandson of the gentleman thief, Arsène Spike, is considered Equestria's greatest thief, known for announcing his intentions to steal valuable gemstones, and then eating them in front of their previous owners. His right-hand pony and closest ally is Daisuke Applejack, an expert marksman who can accurately pelt a target with Fuji apples in 0.3 seconds. Although Spike and Applejack frequently work as a dragon-pony team, they are often joined by Rainbow Dash XIII, a master pegasus whose Sonic Rainboom makes her faster than anypony else, or Rarity Mine, a femme fatale and Spike's love interest. Although Rarity usually works together with the others, she occasionally exploits Spike's interest in her to dig up treasure for herself. Spike and his gang are constantly chased by Inspector Twilight Sparkle (Twi) of the CEPA (Canterlot Equestrial Police Agency), who has made it her life's work to arrest them, chasing Spike across the globe. On the rare occasions she catches Spike, Twilight secretly hopes Spike will escape so she can continue to chase him. Regardless of whether Spike and his followers succeed or fail, they are always looking for the next heist.

@kingx101 Believe me, I was trying to figure out a way to work her in. The way it turned out, the other characters had better footage that corresponded to the original (i.e. Applejack's hat --> Jigen, Love interest from Spike to Rarity, Rainbow dash in the air a la Gomen).

But you're probably right, since Pinkie Pie makes everything better.
