Steven Wilbur feels like hes always arriving - a Seattlite by way of Texas by way of the Bay Area. His last name is derived from a Saxon name meaning wild boar. This is a surprisingly accurate description of his poetry. Running out the gate from his background as a lyricist and drummer for hip-hop and indie-rock bands, within his first year slamming, Steven was showcased in Seattles 2009 Grand Slam and competed in the citys IWPS Finals. Many have tried to catch Steven, but few have succeeded without first smiling at his hoggish dances, or being provoked to deep thought by his tusk-like philosophic and unwavering discussions of truth, identity, and the heartache along the way.

Karen Finneyfrock even once dubbed his snout dope. Steven currently performs with Jubilee: An Abolitionist Band, and much taller than most munchkins in the Emerald City, he enjoys the clouds, mountains, and excellent espresso. Steven competed at the 2009 Individual World Poetry Slam, and is ranked the 57th performance poet in the world.
