On Saturday 5 December 2009, ahead of the crucial UN climate summit in Copenhagen, tens of thousands of people from across the UK and from all walks of life, will flow through the streets of London and Glasgow to demonstrate their support for a safe climate future for all.
There are many issues these talks need to address. We believe a deal to stop global deforestation is essential. The key issues for the Trust are set out in our Copenhagen policy platform.
Essentially, we want:
1. Woodlands that are ecologically sustainable and properly certificated;
2. Absolute protection for all old growth forest;
3. To keep our trees and woodland for the future.
All of these asks need to be included in this crucial agreement that will replace the Kyoto Protocol.
@thetreehunter; @jmswlsh - I know, I know! Groan ;0( Fair spot..be gentle with me though; we did this in April live in Grantham initially for AoS, I took the chance to mention the WAVE off the cuff & tripped my mouth up thinking quickly about representation details & final plans for Copenhagen & the WAVE was still in early stages.. Luckily all other info is still up to date thanks to great planning by SSC & the WAVE promises to be an exciting experience -forgive my blip & join us there? Kaye, WT

Well great of you to say how good the whole point of this film was. Just to pick up on 'Gordon Brown of England'. Funny how that is forgotten when devolution rubbish is pursued. Cake & eat it or what?
