I don't think so, Horiyoshi lll does not take new clients anymore! he has five years of tattooing (or more) still to go, just to finish his work in progress...
I'd be in line too if he did...

This is where I will get my first tattoo!

@dodocrest These tattoos can take months to years of weekly sessions to get done. Its not like going into the shop and getting it done. Traditional tattooing is a very long process.

He gets paid on a timely bases? I thought artist charge on the size of the work not how long.
-
He's great,but I don't see why 500$,for 45min,just cause a big name? Don't get fooled fellas,there is a lot of talent out there way cheaper
-
@RevolutionaryWind Yes he is but he only works about an hour and a half each session so it could take a loooong time to finish. It also takes a while to get a appointment
@choki1998
it's not about the price when it comes to tattoo...it's about paying for skills, experience, and being able to get it done right.
as a tattoo shop owner and artist...it takes us years of hard work and money to learn the skills and there is no price tag to it. The money is mainly to help pay for our living expenses...but art is our passion.
like a car, they all drive the same but a BMW or ferrari feels better, look and perform better than a ford.
