There is a warning sign at the crossing for low trailers. Also, you will notice the railer did break away and is seen by itself out in the park parking lot at 6:58.

@robertgift LOL Lowboys and crossings don't mix he should have found a bridge or a level crossing before he decided to cross the tracks

The trucker was not suppose to be there in the first place. This crossing leads to a city park by the waterfront of the Hudson. There is a road that continues to a marina, but if i remember correctly, he was headed for US route 9 and missed the turn and was headed to the parking lot on the other side of the tracks to get turned around when he got stuck. The train struck just as he had telephoned the police.
