Just used this vid to fix a washer in my bathroom.
only thing is, those valves are so tight, the tap moves with the valve.
Hold the tap real tight, then use some muscle to unscrew the valve, thus giving you acces to the rubber seal.
phew, job done.

What happens if it's a hot tap? How do you turn off the water ... drain down the whole hot water system? Some advice would have been helpful. Otherwise good stuff.

As someone who has never attempted this kind of fix before I have to say this is really helpful. In fact the problem with the tap wasn't the washer, but using a bit of common sense along with the stuff in the video I made an easy repair in the end.
