Italia In Diretta video magazine visits the exhibition "Neorealism - the new image of Italy 1932-1960" in Centre d'Arte TeclaSala L'Hopitalet de Llobregat. Comprised of nearly 200 works of photography, graphic arts, news and magazine images, and films. 75 artists explain in pictures and film fragments their vision of Italy at the time. Though each artists method is distinct and different from the other they all had one common goal--to explain objectively how they see Italy during the time 1932-1960, the epoch under the Fascist regime and the post years after World War II; Italy's reconstruction; the phenomenon and effects of both cinema and the automobile; and investigating the diversity that exists in the small neighborhoods and towns.
El Centre d'Art Tecla Sala presenta una exposiciò que, amb més de dues-centes imatges, documents gráfics i cinematográfics del període comprés entre 1932 i 1960, en permet observar els interessos dels diversos autors que, tot i tenir objectius i sensibilitats sovint molt diferents, coincidiren tanmateix en l'esséncia de la poética neorealista.
"Neorealisme-la nove imatge a Itàlia 1932-1960" analitza les relacions i coincidéncies de la fotografia amb el corrent neorealista italiá, que tot i ser protagonitzat per la literatura i el cinema, troba en aquest llenguatge algunes de les expressions mès vives i eloqüents. La "nova fotografia" capaç de documentar la realitat va tenir la seva máxima esplendor i popularitat, grácies a la recuperació de la llibertat i com a reacció als foscos anys del feixisme.
