Re: Problems with Healthcare in the USA

As a result of the care my friend, Rich, received he is back in the hospital with a diagnosis of osteomyelitis which is a serious bone infection. With Rich's permission, he and I feel that this should be revealed so this will not happen to anyone else. Hospitals are trying to save money by discharging patients early and with procedures which are supposed to be more cost effective. However, in the long run it is costing a tremendous amount of money and the patient suffers.

Well my ex does ultrasound in a non-govt owned hospital,says 90% of patients scanned are illegal aliens and dont pay anything. Some lie about prenatal pains to get a scan, and the ONLY question they ask is "IT BOY OR GIRL PLEASE?". We dont have a health care crisis, thats bullcrap. We do have healthcare problems in the USA and I just mentioned one. One that could cost my friend his life and a tremendous amount of money spent on a second operation. Now, maybe a third. The first thing specialists want to see is approval from your healthcare provider. I am going through this right now. They don't care about me. They care if they are going to get paid. So, I end up waiting for care and/or an operation for my back. These problems can be fixed if we address them.

I agree, however CalicoatMaker made a valid point. Why are we allowing illegals free healthcare while allowing only the very basics at best for ourselves? When they dont pay we pay, thus healthcare gets more expensive. When we cant pay hospitals shut down. Part of the healthcare problem in America is an immigration problem. If we fix that first we can fix the rest of the problem and provide what Americans need.

I guess they get scanned because they say they are in pain and as soon as that baby is born on American soil, it becomes an American citizen. The costs go up anyway you are right. Its just fraud, and fraud is destroying our healthcare. If they commit fraud they need to be deported to Mexican hospitals to deliver their babies. No SS#? BYE! My mother might lose her leg because illegals pillaged the local hospitals. What remains of them are doctors offices with nurses acting as doctors. She was transported 150 miles and far too late to resolve a simple bloodclot.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. Where did this happen? Immigrants having babies here outrages so many people. I went to Laredo, TX and I saw probably 90% illegals wiring American money back to Mexico. I understand deportation would be quite costly since illegals are everywhere. I made a vid when they were caught in PA. Anyway, they need to pay taxes. Then our jobs aren't outbidded to employers who hire aliens because they have to pay worker's comp. then.
