Letting loose the secret!

Reasons Total War games suck:

1. World interface is basically non-strategic.
2. Interface is sketchy to say the least.
3. User has little control over overall outcome.
4. Battle system is either dull, or out of control, even for good players.
5. Game tries so hard to be realistic it becomes not fun.
6. Nothing specifically unique about the game to attract attention.
7. Tends to appeal to the lowest common denominator with flashy fight scenes.
8. Help system is terrible.
9. Almost seems purposefully confusing at times.
10. Things like piracy and religion are terribly implemented and just annoy you.
11. No real ascension to power, simply, slow tedius struggle.
12. InCREDIBLY repetitive.
13. Auto-battle is absolutely aweful.
14. Mindless diplomacy on easier levels where you should be in a learning process.
15. No intuitive learning.
16. Almost no timing-skill involved.
17. Tries to compensate with battle formations but fails to do so.
18. Terrible learning curve, even if units are melee only.
19. Overly rewarding for saving and loading constantly.
20. Because a bunch of fanboys without two brain cells to rub together are fanatic about these games.

(Note on 20: I don't like the mindless fanboy mentality, not that everyone that likes Total War games are mindless fanboys.)

And YES, I have played other Total War games. I hated them too!

So you are saying it is not possible to determine the quality of a game until you are good at it? What if the game was hitting quarters out of an high-powered air cannon with your forehead so as to leave the best impression in your skin. Is that a case where you really have to continue to play until you are really good before you can say, "Hey, this game isn't really very fun... O_o" Or is it possible you can determine that even before ever playing it.

Losing respect for someone because they like a certain game makes as much sense as losing respect for someone because they like apples better than oranges.

I don't understand how someone else's preference could possibly affect you enough to justify setting up a camera, recording yourself denouncing them, then posting it on the internet.

Is there that much of a lack of other things going on in your life that you have to intentionally stir shit up? Take the high road next time.

As in top 100? You are probably right.

Then again, seeing as Total War isn't TECHNICALLY an RTS, it sorta has to be lumped into the larger category of "strategy games". So we have to re-look at the potential for this... series... to be in the top 100. I MIGHT be able to list off 100 strategy game series and just knock Total War off that list, but that would take a long time, so let's just compromise and say it's between #90 and #100, ok?

P.S.: I won't be using fake numbers to do it.
