The US press is free to print whatever they want without censorship...even classified documents. They can later go after the journalist to try and get his source from him (contempt of court), but they cannot stop the papers or TV stations from printing it once it's out there.

Yes, the US press is 'free' but not if the government makes it clear that writing on certain things is bad for homeland security, and the press obeys even in the US. That is why Hasan is not a hot ticket journalistically in the US. But that is still not the issue with Judith and Shep. I will say that the issue is not about censorship, it goes much deeper than that since the precedent of how far paparazzi can go has been set and Judith and Shep were not paying attention when paparazzi were given their boundaries.
