This is the first time I ever heard Archie sing but you can see where the inspiration for "The Mary Ellen Carter" came from.

Aaaaahhhhh it doesn't get any better than archie! He is one mellow dude :) I've been searching for him singing The Presence.......a most wonderfull song and of course, Archie sings it beautifuly as always

Used to Listen to Ray & Archie way back in the 1950's on BBC's Skiffle Club, later to become Folk Club. Another great who appeard on those shows was Joe Gordon & his Folk Four, even better than Archie & Ray. Incidently Ray recorded Bogies Bonny Belle on a solo album in around late 60s.
Is Archie Fisher considered a national treasure in Scotland? He should be. And this vid -wow! It's a treasure. I can't thank you enough for posting it.

is this the same Archie Fisher that played w/ The Clancy Bros (and Tommy Makem) and produced many of theheir albums?
