It's Going To Be Okay - Episode 17 Part 3

Nick: Has Selena been around lately?
Demi: (Sad) I havent seen her for a couple of days.
Nick: Then thats why Im sorry.
Demi: What are you talking about?
Nick: We kind of broke up. I think. She lied to me about something and I dont know that I can forgive her.
Demi: Oh. What is that?
Nick: It doesnt matter right now. What matters is you getting better. And for now, I am going to stay here until that happens.
Demi: Nick, really, its fine. You dont have to stay here. Ill be okay.
Nick: I know you will. But you dont have a choice. I am not leaving until you are better.
Demi: (Nods) Thanks Nick.
Nick: I am going to go get us something to eat, and we are going to eat it okay?
Demi: (Nods again) Okay.
Nick: (Kisses her forehead) Ill be right back (He leaves)

*Meanwhile, in Joes room, there was silence for a few minutes. Kevin went back to eating, while Joe just laid in his bed replaying what the Doctor had said to Demi before they left his room, trying to figure it out. He tried as hard as he could to remember something that would help him understand what it all meant. He quickly gave up*
Joe: Demi was pregnant?
Kevin: (Sighs) Yes.
Joe: Is that why shes here? And in so much pain?
Kevin: Yes.
Joe: So she cheated on me, got pregnant, fell down the stairs and had a miscarriage?
Kevin: Not exactly. Well, kind of. Thats partially true.
Joe: Which part?
Kevin: (Sighs again) I guess you would have found out eventually.
Joe: (Impatient) Found out what?
Kevin: Joe, Demi was pregnant, yes. She had a miscarriage, yes. But she didnt cheat on you, and as far as we know, she didnt just fall down the stairs.
Joe: (Shaking his head) I am so confused.
Kevin: I knew this was going to happen. Thats why we were all waiting for you to remember things on your own.
Joe: Well, as of right now, the only things I remembered were my first date with Demi, Cody catching me and Miley together, Cody forgiving me and Miley moving away. So I remember who the three of them are. I just dont understand why I havent seen Cody, if hes my best friend. I mean, he is, right?
Kevin: I really dont think that I would call him that.
Joe: (Frustrated) What are you talking about? Can you please explain to me what the hell is going on?! Im sick and tired of not knowing anything!
Kevin: Okay

*Just then, Nick walks into the room. Joe looked at him in the eyes as he walked over to the table. Joe immediately had a brain wave, remembering every moment between him and his brothers. How they grew up, how they moved on from their parents split, and how they were always so close. He then looked back at Kevin*
Joe: Are you still working?
Kevin: (Confused) What?
Joe: Youre still supporting me and Nick?
Kevin: (Lets out a slight smile) Yes
Nick: Oh, so you remembered Kevin now too?
Joe: Im sorry, Nicky. Im trying my best to remember everything. Im up to Demi, Cody, Miley, Kevin And you.
Nick: (Smiles, and then rushes over to Joe and hugs him)
Joe: I love you guys. Im sorry I couldnt remember who you were. And now that I do, you wont have a problem helping me remember and understand the rest of my life, right?
Kevin: (Nods) Of course, Joe. Were not going anywhere.
Nick: Actually, I need to keep an eye on Demi. I promised her that I would stay with her until shes better. Im glad you remembered us, Joe. I missed you so much.
Joe: I missed you too, Nick. But it was never like you to break a promise. Plus, while Im here, someone needs to take care of her, and I wouldnt want it to be anyone else. Make sure she knows Im thinking of her and that Im sorry.
Nick: Sure thing. I love you bro.
Joe: (Smiles) I love you too.
*Nick left with some food and headed back to Demis room*
