US to 'expand' covert war in Pakistan - 19 Mar 09

The US is reportedly looking at expanding drone attacks beyond the tribal areas of Pakistan and into the province of Baluchistan.

But Pakistani officials say they would oppose any such expansion of the strikes, saying they do not believe Taliban or al-Qaeda fighters have moved outside of the tribal region.

The great thing is that the Pakistani military have given the criminals and terrorists a good ass kicking. In my Opinion US as caught the tigers tail cant leave it and cant hold it. India after much incidents from Pakistan kept silence because of this. US got caught into a mess. Where you are unable to identify who is good and bad. There are very good people in Pakistan and same way some very bad people too. The people are hiding in the name of good which is difficult to diluted from Pakistan. Hope the time tells the answer. Whatever ready problem is on cards for us here if US leaves Afghan and Pak

US will not go for full scale war against Pakistan because of these reasons

1) They does not have a formidable base near Pakistan. They cannot ask India. Involving India will be a big mess as it will escalate to nuclear war.

2) There might be possibility of nuclear bombing on US itself.

3) Pakistan as backup of China and China might comes to the support of Pakistan in that case US will try to involve India which will again might escalate to WW3.

@sukideni Who told Pakistan does not have oil they have huge resource of Oil. But more than that more fertile land. Very much in a strategic location for US to hit Iran. By all means the destruction on cards we are just watching from the next door. But innocents should not be attacked in Pakistan thats my thought.
