Tackles allowed too.
Lapped runners allowed to tackle and box to get back on the lead lap, or to avoid being lapped.

@truthug1999 Josphat Machuka was disqualified for this(no surprise).He actually went on to win the 10K in the African Championships in '92 and the 5/10 double at the All Africa Championships of '95.Later he placed 5th in the World Championships of '95 and 5th again at the Atlanta Olympics of '96,both over the 10K.He was also a very good cross country and road runner during these years.So rather sad he's now only really famous for one moment of anger ! Wonder how he looks back on this?
