And it actually would have died with Xerox. Don't forget, Xerox had no immediate plans of actually doing anything with the technology. Apple saw it, paid Xerox to use it, and really ran with it.

I hope people realize that technology helped Jobs - they are a recipe company.
Early HDD Ipod - small, HD disk witch skip proof and battery tech.
