@sgtBilko75 The Beach Boys made 6 very solid albums with very little imput from Brian. 20/20, Sunflower, Surfs Up, So Tough, Holland and LA Light Album. None of those compared to Pet Sounds or SMiLE, but the other guys had tallent but it didn't come with commercial success.

How can you not love this man?
I agree with everybody who says that he's a genius. But I disagree that The Beach Boys were nothing more than his background band. The vocals of Carl on many of the ballads, Mike as leadsinger on most of the fast, upbeat songs, Mike as the frontman, mc and driving force of Beach Boys live, Dennis for his influence and Carl also for creating couple of the best Beach Boys songs.
I wish Brian all the best. His best is behind him, but I enjoy his latest projects
