Watch the crash scene over and over. The dude in the black gets hit and he knows its his fault so he feels bad that he fucked up and made his homie eat shit and is worried he hurt him, and as soon as he sees the other guy get up THATS when he goes down and pretends he is real hurt too. Nothing against the guy, I'm sure he just felt stupid for getting in the way and acted equally as hurt to lessen embarrassment. The dude just felt bad that he hurt his friend.
