i have a yellow c5 that looks exactly like the one in this video, and i've driven S2k's, and all i can say is well done! you were the better driver, plain and simple. what the naysayers do in a straight line on the interstate at night is meaningless when it comes to what the car AND driver can really do. once you get on a track, its a whole new world!

WOW I can't stand seeing all the hateful comments from people who barely know about HDPEs.

#1 - It's all about the turns and the driver, not just power.

#2 - The S2000 is a GREAT track car. Do some research. Search for S2000 Buttonwillow and Streets of Willow videos on YouTube. Now do the same search with other cars.

Redliner, yes I know its EXTREMELY hard to resist top down fun as it takes spirited driving to a whole new level. BTW, I have a black/black 2002 AP1 and my wife has a yellow/black 2005 AP2. =)

For the supid morons posting on here, Redliner wasnt suggesting the Vette in the video was inferior to the S. He merely stated that his driving skills along with the S2000's handling capabilities were better suited to each other vs the Vette and its driver. Its no secret a Vette can outrun an S2000.

@PumpingSmashkins - nah, no one does at all. And it doesn't help that it's mostly driven by women who want an automatic either. Regardless, it's a great car that I wouldn't mind having in my stable... :)

@RedlinerSeven Still looked like a lot of fun. very cool that you eventually overtook him. No doubt the s2000 has the real-world handling advantage, despite superior lateral g and slalom numbers for the vette, but people don't give vettes the credit they deserve for handling...certainly no slouches in that department themselves.
