We thought the deadline for this competition was a bit later than it actually was so we rushed to come up with the idea of, build, and then videotape this poorly constructed cardboard robot.

This robot is controlled by a 1975 ADM-3A serial terminal we picked up not too long ago at a swapfest (think giant geeky electronics yardsale with everything from yesteryear that you never knew you needed). We connected this to an arduino using a breadboarded max232 IC which through a wire connects to the robot.

The robot which is made out of cardboard cut out by Miles (using his laser cutter that resides in his bedroom) is driven by two servos which are controlled by the Arduino. The Arduino is also responsible for recieving keystrokes from the ADM-3A terminal and printing "Stop", "Forwards", "Reverse", "Left", and "Right" according to the keys that are pressed.

Time for sleep!
