On September 25, 2007, SNAP lawyer Marci A. Hamilton convened a conference at Yeshiva University, NYC, to discuss legislative efforts to remove statutes of limitations for abuse claims across the country. On this video, she introduces leaders of the advocacy group SNAP (Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests) along with members of the Philadelphia D.A. office.
Hamilton introduces MARIANA SORENSEN, who is currently the prosecutor of the 2011 Philadelphia clergy abuse cases. Sorensen has a deep, documented animus against the Catholic Church.
This collaboration suggests that the Catholic Church is not receiving equal justice and equitable scrutiny under the law.
