I had class in engineering hall after the protest, so I stopped by and checked out how my signatures Halliburton had gotten on their signup sheet; about a dozen. On the other hand, we had gotten about 36 other students interested in coming to our meetings and learning more. To us, the protest was a success for what we got out of it.
Nice commentary, btw; very cute. I thought I was watching some College Republican's web blog, but then I saw it was some old guy, which was even more amusing.
Ahhh...cynicism shows its age. :) Thank you sir, for reminding me why I got into the activism business in the first place - so that I don't wind up angrily typing at internet videos. Amazing.
Technically, the rules they had written down said "no chanting, no shouting" so singing was a good remaining option. We made stuff up on the fly (obviously).
the question why do think selling our kids blood to the oil cos. is so fucking patriotic. i think you the traitor the aluminum foil hat wearing village idiot
These damn wannabe 60's anti-war re-enactors make me sick. What is truly incredible is that these pampered know-nothing retrograde radicals actually believe that they are being bravely countercultural and standing up to "The Man".
HA!
In ten years they will be fighting to stand in line to sellout and get jobs with Halliburton to pay-off the massive college debt they've wracked up buying worthless good-for-nothing degrees in peace studies, feminist philosophy, etc.
Good on you guys go for it.

Hasn't that Chris Dols commie graduated yet??? He was there for all the years that I was there, and was there well before I got there.

When old hippies from the 60's see this, what do they think?
a) "Wow, look what we created!"
b) "Jeez, the movement is dead."
