  • Version vraiment remarquable!

  • Beautiful music. I love Simon's musical expression.

  • I saw him in concert, some years ago, at St Paul's Church in Huddersfield. It would have been just before his wrist injury.

My claim to fame is that I lit his cigarette for him on the church doorstep in the interval!

A real down to earth bloke, with an exceptional talent.

    A very rare thing.

  • I love guitar but I do not know too much about classical really... why is he so much better than other stuff I've heard?

  • seen simon play this live, even beter. Barvo Simon.

  • @treinspore Ya +1 to this does anyone know is he back or anything? Haven't heard anything to confirm/refute this but am curious.

  • I new simon when he was just a young school boy at mancel school its nice to see him on you tube .Nicholas hopkins...

  • At first, I wasn't sure If I really liked this interpretation...I am so used to Bream's varing tonal colours and little twists and turns and Segovia's over-romantic approach with this piece.....BUT...then I realised that Dinnigan's take on it is pure genius...Plaintive, a very English reflection on foreign lands!...Great stuff as always. Simon, I just hope you pick up the guitar again one day!

  • @Pipixcan69 Thanks for the information, very interesting indeed!

  • @leorozas I have had the great honour to play this very guitar now that it belongs to one of his ex- students. I have played on the best makes of guitars in the world but none were as good as Simons - Christopher Dean. I have met Christopher Dean (a real genius craftsman and gentleman) and played his new guitars but they didn't compare to Simons. Why? Because he had spent hours on it and had "played it in" to perfection. Thats why 10 year old guitars sound better than new ones.
