***For the second straight week, Carl Edwards takes his Ford to Victory Lane by winning at Las Vegas for his 9th career victory and takes over the points lead in the process. Dale Earnhardt Jr scores his first top 5 in his new ride and moves up 13 positions in the standings. However, Carl's reign as the points leader didn't last very long as he was docked 100 points for a missing oil tank cover, resulting in a 6 week suspension for crew chief Bob Osborne.***
