  • Why did you approach and land from that end of the runway. I have never seen an approach in all my years of landing at BGR.

  • @bob01081969 That is the landing direction the winds were favoring that day. I fly there quite a bit and normally land in the opposite direction as well.  I made a short approach so I wouldn't have to taxi so far to GA parking once on the ground.

  • You flew a 182 to France -- didn't you freeze your ass off?

  • Nope. The heater kept me nice and toasty.

  • In a 182, are you required to wear a survival suit for the water leg?

  • not required, but it is a good idea!!!

  • I didn't have the camera plugged into the audio panel. All communication was done via wearing the headset.

  • I didn't hear any chatter between pilot & tower while on approach or once on the ground. Why?
