@marimbadearco Really? Schlippenbach's interpretations are right up there with Lacv, Waldron, Mengelberg. Certainly more authentic in vision than Marsalis's attempts at Monk, or any other young lion for that matter. Listen with your ears, not your eyes!

Sie brauchen einen echte Jazz studium zu besuchen, um wie es geht mit einander mit zu spielen. Wissen sie schon was der SWING phenomen bedeutet? Der Bateria Typ hat keine annung.

This group made an excellent album of these concerts, where they played literally EVERY Monk tune in succession. I love Rudi Mahall's bass clarinet, and what a good blending --trumpet, bass clari, and rhythm.
