Setmaker are one of the finest young bands to come out of Clonakilty, they have won numerous national competitions since they were formed and continue to blast audiences away with their alternative folk rock all over the country. The band boast two amazing vocalists in the forms of Ciaran Calnan and Aidan Hayse as well as the hugely talented and easy on the eye Dolcie Keogh on Fiddle. Rhythm section duties are sturdily driven on by the animated Pa Deasy on drums and the rock solid bass of Dec McCarthy. Their range of songs span everything form rock to trad with choice cover versions given their own unique stylings.
Setmaker flirt between subtle Bell X1-style tunesmithery
and the sort of big music that The Waterboys made in
their commercial heyday Hot Press
the girl def makes the band violin and harmonies beautiful
