  • If anyone is interested, I figured out by "ear" the fast part of Bill Murray's solo from this scene. You can see it/hear it here. It's pretty "notey" so I tried my best to be as accurate as possible. I can't post links apparently so just click my name to listen to it!

  • he doesn't play the piano he only learned to play the slow part, the rest he's just acting

  • Thanks for posting this classic video from "Groundhog Day". The sheet music for the boogie-woogie piano part on "Phil's Piano Solo" can be found at manymidi.com/sheetmusic.htm - a note-for-note transcription of this great piano part!

  • grandioso bill, tocala otra vez despues de 19 años eres el mejor

  • Is that Bill Hicks playing drums? :)

  • Ekusgarri ezinago pullita; betik izan tzu, eino´re batzu, eta izanen.

  • i do gymnastics and that is my floor routine song!

  • @jallar4 He sorta tried.. after a certain time passed he just woke up again :p (movie doesn't show how this actually happens, it just cuts of to the morning)

  • LMFAO he plays Rhapsody On A Theme of Paganini by Rachmaninoff when he sees her. Smooth

  • @Barnsleyfc4life The song was written, performed and produced by Terry Fryer according to IMDb. under Groundhog Day. I'd like to see more of Fryer's work. He also wrote/played for Dirty Dancing.

  • @MrRancidmeat the whole track's named "Terry Fryer - Medley: Phil's Piano Solo (Eighteenth Variation From Rapsodie On A Theme Of Paganini)" which includes the needed part.)

If anybody needs, I can send it by email - write me a private message)

  • Does somebody know where to get notes sheet with this music? Really want to learn how to play it! :)
