We get a lot of questions about the recording setup we used on this video. It's simple: Two OSP STM-1300 mics, straight into the camera's mic inputs. One was used as Brad's vocal mic and the other one was positioned in front of the his guitar. To demonstrate the pickups, we placed the mic in front of the guitar amp. You can see more details about the microphones at
http://www.siglermusiconline.com/store/pc/showsearchresults.asp?pageStyle=H&a...
Host Chris Ward was using an OSP HS-09 earset mic. You can find more details about that product at http://www.siglermusiconline.com/store/pc/HS-09-EarSet-Headworn-Microphone-49...

Brad's gear in this video includes the Takamine EF340SC Acoustic Guitar & a Genz Benz Shenandoah Pro LT Acoustic Guitar Amp. For more information about Brad Davis, you can visit his site at http://www.braddavismusic.com/

  • What kind of strings are you using?

  • @pwg1126 Takamine ships their six string guitars with D'Addario EXP16 light gauge, which is what Brad was using here.

  • BTW, what do you guys think of a takamine ed20mc ns?

Is there a video where you guys have reviewed it?

  • Hey, what do you guys think about the thickness of the neck? Is it easy to do bar chords on it? F's B's and powerchords? Let me know please. I'm interested in this thingy

  • @Videofunization cedar tends to sound more "round" and sitka tends to sound brighter, but there are other factos which make each guitar sound different. Takamines tend to have a certain twangy and "nasal" tone, even the cedar topped ones.

  • that is not a takamine.... its a funkamine!!!!!!

  • What is the difference between solid spruce top and solid cedar top? I know solids have quality sound.

  • I ordered one of these today. I am looking forward to playing it.
