Some fairly poor 8mm of mostly 100cc class motocross at Four Corners Cycle Park near Ramona, CA in 1971. Not much of a track, just some fire roads, washes, pretty rough over all. Really poor safety even by 1971 standards. During one practice session I came around a turn on the back part of the course to find the track bulldozer working in the middle of the track. Despite the poor film quality I uploaded this any because the track and racing is part of the motorcycle racing history of the San Diego area in the early 1970s.

  • Hey Vintage, great stuff!!!!! I think Four Corners has been consumed by the Country Estates.

Glad you enjoyed the movie. Yeah, a lot of great riding spots have been gobbled up by "progress." The development I live in used to be a popular local riding spot according to the local old timers.

  • Some of the best racing was in 1973/1974 when Murray Hoffman, Mike Sterns, and Radical Ron Turner, would battle it out in the 250 Expert Class at Four Corners.

  • @olivercarsbass So did I. Ramohi 86'. Learned how to motocros from Pops at the Santee Pits, Ocotillo and...(wait for it!!) the acres!

  • I spent my childhood growing up in Ramona. Great memories.
