My name is Maria and this video just represents how the Victoria & Albert Museum, particularly the costume section genuinely inspired and motivated me through my life.
This film was taken using a small digital camera Sony DSCW7 without tripod or additional lighting other than flash for stills - I'm lucky it was a sunny day!! Filming in the V&A was kindly granted by the V&A Images team. Thank you V&A for such a great experience. Music composed by myself. Thank you also to Simon of Deep Fur, former Bad Tune Men member for his production assistance.
I am presently writing about the History of Fashion, to be published the beginning of 2009, taking a different slant on dress and fashion, as reflected in my video.

An excellent piece of material that you should be proud of. Looking forward to the sequel,ideally through the Tate Modern (mind the exploding pianos etc..) Would have liked to have seen more on the mummies..but, another time perhaps. Bottom line though. It was really well put together.

Lovely of you to say so, thank you very much. I will get back there at some point. I can never stray too far from the V&A, it is a lifelong love affair :)
I would like to do something when the book is out and I have established myself a bit more. Best wishes to you and good luck in your ventures.

I visited the place in London, in April last year, with my school.. it was pretty interesting :)

Wow, I have yet to visting England, but when I do V&A Costume Museum is a place I wouldn't leave without seeing!
