my fiance and I are saving up for one; we just got in contact with a breeder, and it'll probably be a year or two before we're ready, but we're getting there <3 ^^-

I got mine for 300 with cage and toys and he shipped it to me.... He is adorable

As these Birds are heavily endangered every little one born in a cage prevents the ones in the the brazilian rainforest from being caught. Maybe the breeding programme gets so many Birds to bring some of them back were they belong .
I must admit that I love these birds.

@ parrotlink im committed to raise a a parrot like these breed but im not sure which one to get. im trying to debate i should get a blue and gold macaw or a hyacinth macaw?

They are but they are also very expensive. They cost $8,000-$12,000 handfed :( would love to own one myself

Hey can six months be a long time or what?? They are wonderful birds enjoy, enjoy. And of course be patient he will grow up eventually. The longer he is being weaned the better for him.
