@Dragvendil Yes, I am aware of the presence of Vanaheim in Norse religion (the Aesir/Vanir gods). Robert E. Howard used both Vanaheim and Asgard as influences for lands in the Hyborian Age, though it is probably pointless to try to explain this to you. I used the term "mythical" to refer to the Vanaheim of the Howardian Mythos (please look that up), not the Norse Vanaheim you are obviously referencing. I hope this post clarifies things for you.

I read Robert E. Howard's Conan story "The Frost Giant's Daughter" while listening to this. I've read this story many times before, but listening to this particular Apoptose piece as a sort of soundtrack really added a new dimension to it. It isn't hard at all to imagine Conan pursuing the cold and lovely Atali across a frozen battlefield in mythical Vanaheim when listening to this music!
