Google Nexus One with Debian OS

Nexus One with Debian OS installed on Micro SD.
Debian os running fast, its have some unsupported driver like sound, and wifi.
with debian os, i also doesn't have capability to call or send sms.

" whats the point then. i know its fucking bad ass to see the almighty Penguin on your phone (no sarcasm if it looked like there was some) but i need my phone to call and text...just realizing its been a year now...hows the updates on this OS. any progress?

It should, seeing as the desire has most of the same hardware except for a much faster processor
