THE DUEL
From The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dosteovsky
Adapted by Tom Wright
Directed by Matthew Lutton
Zosima is a young man who lives a life of debauchery where nothing is out of bounds. The night before a deadly duel, he wakes with an overwhelming sense of guilt and insight. This will be the event that transforms his life. In 1880 Dostoevsky wrote his final novel - The Brothers Karamazov. The Duel is a unique theatrical response to a single chapter from this epic, where events from the past linger and search for confession.

The Duel Trailer
Performed by Luke Mullins & David Lee Smyth
Directed by Laura Scrivano
Cinematography by Barnaby Norris
Luke Mullins is one of Australia's best theatre performers Australia has at the moment. This clip seconds my point. The lighting and camera angles are so kickass, I hope all the shows were sold out!

Exeptional !
Dostoevski is most borring of the 19th century russian "Great Writers" ,but these gentelmen make it actually intriguing .
I wonder if there is a way to see the full play somewhere except Sydney .

That doesn't seem like Zosima at all..wow...but this is very interesting. I can't believe there'd be an entire production on one chapter of the Brothers Karamazov.

Wow! It's very beautifully shot. My friends loved the play and they'd be psyched to see the trailer as well.
