Rolling up to a stoplight in this 2009 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew 4x2, we come to rest next to a high school kid in a jacked-up late-model Ford pickup. The sign that hangs in the rear window says, "For Sale."

Ford is hoping that this kid (or, more likely, his dad) will be selling this older mount in order to trade up to a newer F-150, perhaps a Lariat SuperCrew truck like ours. As recently as a year ago this would have been a safe bet.

But the current reality suggests he's probably downsizing and moving out of the truck market entirely. After all, not everyone who wants to own a pickup truck really needs one. And this market is fast evolving into one of needs rather than wants.

  • Can you do this test again with the 3.5L ecoboost just for fun? haha that'll put it to the top of the list

  • The only thing worse than a Toyota Tundra is a Honda Ridglein; looks like the bastard child of a Subaru and Pontiac Aztek.

  • The Tundra is super fugly with those tail lights that hang way out from the body. I was behind one of those POS today and was just shaking my head and the numbskull that decided to buy one. I had 265K miles on my last Ford F-150 and just traded it in for a 2007 FX4 with only 33K miles on the ticker. That's my vote of confidence for Ford; have had nothing but good experiences.

  • thumbs up if right at the beginning of the clip you thought it was Whip It by Devo starting.

  • @TheKoreanX my family has owned toyotas our entire life, and we absolutely loved our 05 tundra, then one day while driving home from vegas last year, the engine burst into flames. right after the incident, i bought a 2010 f150, and it is overall so much better of a truck then the tundra ever was.

  • @2WheelinTacoma I believe its the FX4

  • can anyone tell me which model comes with locking rear diff? thanks.

  • @PackinHeat77 Hell Yeah dudes who drive tundras probably take bubble baths, use lotion, and watch glee.

  • @PackinHeat77 I will say that I do like the styling of the Tundra. But if you don't like it, that's fine.

  • @TheKoreanX

I agree, it looks like my mom designed the Tundra
