Hello and Thank you for replying. My Stove just dose not want to stay lit. It is the same excat one you have. I Love The ease that yours is. Looking for the same way of starting the stove and letting it run for the winter. Daniel

@AMPIEUS ,do you use nut anthracite? and what make?I use nut Blaschak. One big problem with the original Vig11 is all the horizontal parts in the fire chamber where ash builds up and block the comb.air and also acts as an insulator so heat doesn't comes out of the stove easily. Try shaking and sclicing more. At the base of the shaking lever, there is a support under the front shelf, see if it's not loose.

@AMPIEUS I will send some details later. Now the stove is on for it's second season with modifs and runs perfectly. I just want to be more than sure of it before sending infos. What are your problems with your Vig11 now?

can you burn wood in your coal stove
firewoodguy2009 1 year ago
yes. I'm planning an air syst. to bring combustion air on the top of the fire. With anthracite, the air enters underneath the coal bed. Because the new combustion chamber is very small, I burn wood upright.
Burning anthracite is much easy than wood...
