Actually Admiral McCain was CINPAC, and depending on timing, CINCPACFLT was either Admiral Hyland or Clarey. I was at CINCPACFLT at the time and was assigned to work a parking detail at Admiral McCain's residence. Atfer we were thru he came over shook our hands, gave us a cigar and invited us in for leftovers. He was quite the character. His speech was gruff and he had that stub of cigar in the corner of his mouth. I would not want to get on his bad side.

ADMIRAL McCain was CINCPACFLT when I was on CVA-31 on was WestPac during Vietnam. He was very much a Eisenhower Republican and opposed the Military Industrialist Complex as Ike did. He did a change of command at sea. The fascist industrialist always want war like they did in Germany under Hitler. For them, war is very profitable. Their kids never serve in it and they make billions from no bid contracts and the PEOPLE have to pay.
