The Subversion of Democracy

Alexander Yakovlev was born to a peasant family in a tiny village on the Volga. He served in the Red Army during World War II and became a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in 1944. Beginning in 1958, he was an exchange student at Columbia University for one year.

He is considered to be the intellectual force behind Mikhail Gorbachev's reform program of glasnost and perestroika.

According to Yakovlev, " ...in the very beginning perestroika's premise was not destruction of ... socialism ... but its improvement... "

Hannah is mistaken. Under socialism there is no private ownership of houses, cars, farms, minds... Under socialism no one is responsible for their own lives or the lives of loved ones. Everyone is a ward of the state. No one lifts a finger to be productive or self-sufficient. Everyone merely tries to avoid the prison camps and the death squads. Not my cup o tea, frankly...

Fascism poses a much greater threat that Communism in the 21st century. China and Russia are embracing parts of the free market have you looked at southern China lately? Radical Nationalism somehow backed God bailouts for corporations the combining of Wall Street and Constitutional Ave. Imperalist wars started with false intelligence if that is not the outline for Fascism 101 then what is? Little known facts: Adolf Hitler was a Marxist. Mussolini was a Marxist. The founders of the USA were not. The present leaders of the USA are a mixture of state capitalism and private capitalism. Its a confusing subject.

Both systems still allow the ruling elite to remain in power the system is the same just a different exterior. Because monopoly capitalism is what the US has to day in other words Fascism!

Well, I like freedom and liberty but not something overstep others freedom and dictate its own version of freedom. Most of the time I find democracy is corrupt and manipulative. I don't mind honest and upright dictators or kings

Yes I know these little known facts..."The Road to Serfdom" by F. A. Hayek has this material Hitler admitted in 1940 that Fascism and Communism are nearly the same thing...I would agree with this statement also the conclusion of the book Fascism is what happens when people realize socialism does not work. I would love to see your connections between Libertarianism and Marxism the two are on opposite sides of the political scale. One is for a complete state the other is for a minimal state
