Thanks, I haven't viewed the other video yet. I am a business owner and I have a B.A. in Economics. I am just frustrated with the stupidity that is out there. Obviously I think that we should be taking about trade policies and SAVING THE DOLLAR, Hovever, if a video like this is made, I think that the maker should have some basic understanding of what; and how capitalism works. (It's strenghts and weaknesses) It seems to me that they are coming from an emotional point of view, not rational.
Private insurers of all stripes -not just healt h care- are basically running a giant scam operation. They'll insure you so long as you don't cost them too much, at which point they either drop you or raise your premiums by a ridiculous amount.
The elephant in the room here between the blinding curtains of sophist rheotric is that National Health Care is currently treating people in other countries who benefit from and prefer it. They don't make such disingenuous arguments against it in those countries. Those arguments originate from those who benefit from our current draconian form of health care that strips people of their life savings for billionaires and leaves them out to die.
Plus, what argument is invalid? Yes, we may be better off having public education than nothing, but that is hardly a great argument for anything. What is this nonsense of saying "fail" or "invalid argument" at the end of your points in a youtube comment section? Like, oh wow! I've just been taken down! Except you sound really childish. Fail Lol Isn't that stupid and annoying and meaningless. There is a lot of stupidity and ad hominem bullshit and pigeonholing going on on both sides here.
I'm not suggesting the immediate end of funding for public education, but you could switch to a voucher system and over time lower the voucher for families that make over seventy grand a year. In time, you'd have a flexible, free market based education system that gave parents direct control over their child's education for less of a cost to society. Our current education system is a national day care. Private USPS could easily replicate the same level of service.
LMAO I have no "DAMN KIDS". The point is we have public schools, failing or not, we are better with, them without. Hence, invalid argument :o)
As far as the USPS, I was just pointing to an inconsistency between two very similar videos (both spoofing the same video).
However, on that subject, there are addresses that UPS and Fedex do not deliver to, yet the post office does (of course I've been called a "Commie lier" on that point, but I've come across it personally, so I need no validation).
... (cont'd) Even though "many studies" tell you preventative care won't lower costs (I'd love to see which studies, because that makes zero sense whatsoever) the costs would be directed at different problems. Preventative care would INCREASE the costs paid for checkups and heart/blood-pressure medication but it would ELIMINATE the expenses made for a massive stroke later on.
By the way, "saving" means the "public expends fewer resources on insurance"; not "pays less to private corporations".
tkwelge-- please post a source for your statement that "government denies care as much or more than private companies."
as for preventative care being a "lie" and something that "won't lower costs"-- we now have healthcare run in the interests of PROFIT, and many people want to socialize the system to make it run in the interest of PREVENTING ILLNESS (as well as curing it). This means giving everyone free access (if we so choose) and allocating resources to doctors to allow maximum prevention.
@CYMACGoSu Lots of people die all of the time. It's tragic, but nobody is guaranteed a long life, even under socialized medicine. It' math, you just can't take care of everyone, all the time, in every situation.
