Obama proposed it. The American Legion was even rebuffed by him personally. Where in these plans was the government going to pay for the private insurance? Who is paying for the private insurance that was to pay for these or any treatments? The fact is, Obama tried having servicemen pay for their own treatments through their premiums they pay to their private insurance companies. Fact are facts - deal with it.

So you people believe every lie Rush Limbaugh tells you? No one ever proposed cutting veterans health care. The most that was suggested was that some costs be shifted to private insurance for veterans who have it. Since veterans' groups rejected the idea, it wasn't adopted. Try not to look stupid.

If you're making the dishonest claim that Obama's proposed this, try again. As a cost control measure, the administration suggested that possibly the cost of treating service-related injuries for some veterans could be shifted to their private insurance. Veterans' groups reacted badly, and the idea was shelved. No one suggested that veterans pay for their health care out of pocket. The Obama Administration's budget for veterans' benefits is markedly higher than Bush's was.

Obama's judgment is the only thing that matters to soldiers - when the call is made, can he be counted on to make the right call? We don't reward catastrophic failures of judgment leading to thousands of American deaths and a trillion dollar pricetag with the highest office in the land. Three words -Obama was right in 2002, and he will get it right in the future.
